Hiking/Water Falls

  • Soco Falls
    Double waterfalls are a rarity and this one is a hidden gem! Soco Falls, located just
    a short walk off the main road, is a perfect way to start your scenic adventure.

  • Mingo Falls
    At 120 feet (36.6 m) tall, the waterfall is one of the tallest and most spectacular in
    the southern Appalachians. The hike to the waterfall is only 0.4 miles (0.6 km) in
    length, but is considered moderate in difficulty.

  • Graveyard Fields
    Hike into a mile-high valley featuring spectacular waterfalls surrounded by rolling
    ridges. This is a very popular area, so be prepared to share the trail with others.

  • Mingus Mill
    Built in 1886, this historic grist mill uses a water-powered turbine instead of a water
    wheel to power all of the machinery in the building.
